Ormylia is a small town of 5,000 residents located in Chalkidiki, Greece. It is partly agricultural and partly touristic, with a beach located only 4km away. The nearest major city is Thessaloniki, about a 45 minute drive away. - 6. Ormylia, where our school is situated, is a small town of 5000 residents. The area is partly agricultural and partly touristic. The sea coast, called Psakoudia, is only 4 km far from Ormylia. The nearest international airport is the airport of Thessaloniki which is about 45 min. by car from Ormylia and serves most of European airport connections. Thessaloniki is the second important city of Greece (after the capital Athens). Its the cultural, economical and transportation center of north Greece, with more than one million inhabitants and many historical monuments of Hellenistic, roman and medieval period.

- 23. Our school is called Gymnasio Ormylias (Gymnasium of Ormylia). It has around 150 students,12-15 years old and 18 teachers of several different specializations: philologists, mathematicians,biology teacher, teachers for English, French and German language, Physical education teachers, music teacher, art teacher, teacher for religion, etc. In the same school-building, another school, the Lykeio Ormylias (Lyceum of Ormylia) is also housed. The Lyceum of Ormylia has around 80 students,15-18 years old. Thus, in our school complex there are totally 230 students and more than 30 teachers.
