EcoRise Youth Innovations and H-E-B are excited to announce a new, three-year partnership to expand EcoRise programming to schools in Texas! H-E-B is championing the EcoRise program by funding teacher training workshops and the development of valuable online educational resources such as Do-It-Yourself Playbooks, a video library and the EcoSystem, a searchable database of local volunteers, field trip opportunities and community resources. With support from H-E-B, EcoRise will be able to expand its impact and engage more schools by providing scholarships to campuses that could otherwise not be able to participate in the program. Together, EcoRise and H-E-B will fan the flames of sustainability and youth innovation in Texas schools!
Gina LaMotte, Founder and Executive Director of EcoRise remarks: We are so excited to partner with H-E-B to expand our reach in Texas. H-E-Bs strong commitment to community service, environmental responsibility and sustainability along with their focus on children, youth and education throughout the State of Texas makes them the ideal partner for us.
Susan Ghertner, Director of Environmental Affairs for H-E-B, notes: Eco-Rises innovative approach to engaging students in creative problem solving to design a sustainable future is very appealing to us. Young people that are environmentally literate and have the skills to tackle real-world challenges will assure a healthy quality of life for generations of Texans to come.
