A student at Salford City College Eccles Sixth Form Centre created a 30-second perfume advert as part of their BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production. The student planned the advert, researched other perfume ads for inspiration, filmed the advert using a model, actresses and a camera operator at the photography studio, and edited the footage together within the 30 second time limit. They then rendered and uploaded the completed advert to YouTube.

Date Action Taken
6/5/13 Started planning my advert. Looked into the type of style of advert and the products I would like
to use. I came to the conclusion of using Armani Code as my product.
13/5/13 I researched different perfume adverts and got ideas on what I would like mine to look like. I
wrote down different words and created a mood board.
20/5/13 I filmed my avert using the photography studio. I used one model. Two actresses, and me and the
camera operator. I took on board everyone else’s ideas and worked well a group.
27/5/13 I edited my advert together. It had to be 30 seconds long and no longer. So because of this I had to
make sure I used the best looking shots I could and make sure the advert ran smoothly all the way
through.
3/6/13 I completed my advert and checked I had included everything I needed in the advert. I then
rendered out the advert and uploaded it to youtube.
