This document discusses the importance of lifelong learning and adapting to changes. It notes that many jobs that exist today like social media managers and YouTubers did not exist 10 years ago, so there is no job security. It encourages focusing on strengths and educational goals. It provides ways to hack constraints to learning like geographical limits, lack of funding or resources, and time commitments. It suggests learning new skills like using technology, improving English, managing time better, and evolving thinking.

Not all of the education we receive is important.
We have our own preference.
If only we can choose our education the way we choose our meals.
There is a minimum level of education required for success.
But once we choose our career, we cant never stop learning if we want to succeed.
The grass is always greener on the other side.
We may consider others as successful, even when they may not agree.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is success.
The only true security is in developing your talents and abilities.
10 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.
11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.
Remarks given on a Back to School event at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia (Sep 8, 2009)
The more you learn, the more you can earn.
If you want to earn more, identify how you can create more value.
Great businesses are built on top of a strong value proposition.

Business Model You: A One-Page Method for Reinventing Your Career by Tim Clark and Alexander Osterwalder (2012)
Value Proposition is crucial.
You, as a product, needs to fit in with what the market wants.
How are you planning to do that with an ever-changing marketplace?
Ignore your passion first, if youre not adapting your skills as fast as the changes in the marketplace, you wont even get a job.
You dont have to be the expert. You can just be an expert.
The expert in anything was once a beginner.
Someone will be an expert in your field. Why not you?
11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
Both your job and your career require some level of skills.
Skills can only be acquired through education and experience.
Identify your strengths and weaknesses.
Focus on your strengths, increase your growth rate, and become an expert.
Outsource your weaknesses, unless its a required core competency.
23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
24 Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
Knowledge is the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
Skills are the proficiencies developed through training or experience.
Skills are usually something that has been learned.
So, we can develop our skills through transfer of knowledge.
An ability is a strength that is innate to the person though it can be improved.
Education is about learning, but most of us dont know the way learning works.
What is our natural learning process?
How do we manage knowledge?
DIKW Pyramid is a model representing how human manages knowledge.
Data is a collection of points with no discernible meaning.
Information is data in context.
Knowledge is information that has been assimilated in the mind.
Wisdom is the application of knowledge.
Data: It is raining.
Information: The temperature dropped 10 degrees and then it started raining.
Knowledge: If the humidity is very high and the temperature drops substantially, the atmosphere is often unlikely to be able to hold the moisture so it rains.
Wisdom: It rains because it rains.

05. Look at it from all angles. The narrow mind stays rooted in one spot; the broad mind is free, inquiring, unprejudiced; it seeks to learn both sides of the story.

09. Dont write to remember, write to learn.
10. Pay attention to the person speaking. Contemplate the meaning of his words, the nature of his thoughts.

Your knowledge influence your views of the world, your opinions, your ways of thinking, your actions, your habits, and eventually your future.
7 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

12 Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.
2 Dont copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know Gods will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
