The MaxBus system aims to maximize passenger transfer and reduce wait times at NTU's bus stops. It analyzes real-time location data and historical movement patterns of on-campus and campus shuttle buses to signal drivers to wait for or bypass bus stops. This allows buses to rendezvous and facilitates efficient passenger transfer, helping to move more people in and out of campus during peak times while decreasing overcrowding and discomfort.
