Hail and Snow
What is it?

It is a form of precipitation
  when water freezes and
falls to the ground as ice.
How does it happen?
     Snow begins in the
    atmosphere as water
     condenses into tiny
          droplets.
Hail begins when up-drafts in
 thunder storms carry rain
upwards into extremely cold
            areas.
How do you stay safe in a hail and snow storm?

   You need to find some
  shelter or if your inside
stay where you are . Stay a
    safe distance from
 windows and where lots
of layers if you have to go
          outside.
Facts
 The biggest hail
stone was 20.5cm
 wide and almost
       1kg.
