Two Navy T-38 jets had to make emergency landings at an unreported location after encountering a hail storm while flying, damaging the planes and requiring maintenance before being able to fly again. The pilots had hoped maintenance crews could quickly fix the planes so they could return home instead of having to land unexpectedly.
