This document outlines various hand and whistle signals used in scouting. It describes 14 different hand signals for commands like "all go away", "patrol in lines", and "assemble or come back". Whistle signals are also explained, such as 1 long whistle to get attention and 3 long whistles to signal danger. Basic trail signs are depicted like arrows indicating direction or a sign warning of danger. The signals provide a way to minimize talking and clearly communicate instructions during activities where silence is needed.
