Campers had an exciting first day at Camp HASC, beginning with an energetic welcome from the staff. After unpacking and enjoying inflatables and bubbles, campers participated in a joyous bonfire with singing, dancing, and s'mores. Today, campers circulated between art, a petting zoo, and music activities to get to know their surroundings better. A highlight was a parade for affixing mezuzahs to new buildings, with inspirational words from the Rabbis followed by dancing and apple juice toasts. All are looking forward to the first Shabbat at camp.

WEEK #1 RECAP
From the moment the eight buses pulled into camp, the energy and
excitement of HASC (swag) has not stopped! Campers began their
fist day of camp with an epic welcome from our staff members.
After unpacking, visiting inflatables and blowing bubbles, campers
enjoyed a leibedig bonfire. Though the fire took its time to grow
and spread, the ruach sparked instantly with camp-wide joyous
singing and dancing. The smores were a big hit!
Today, campers and counselors circulated between art, petting zoo,
and music activities, becoming more familiar with their
surroundings. The climax of the day was the K'vias Mezuzah (or
Mezuzah Palooza) parade, beginning at the HC all the way up to
our new building #34. Inspiring words from Rav Judah and Rav
Willig were preceded and followed by dancing and apple juice
l'chaims for all!
We are looking forward to an AWESOME first Shabbos of Camp HASC
2012! Kol Swag.
