Action Steps:
The first step will be to create a survey that assesses what social media
tools parents are already currently using. We want to meet them where
they already are. From this I will create accounts/pages for our school
to enhance communication.
Create a school promotional video that will be shared on our Edline
page, and on our chosen social media sites.
Create a school app that serves as a hub for information. Anyone can
download this app, and ¡°see¡± with transparency all the great things
happening in our school.
My job will be to become the ¡°Story-Teller-In-Chief.¡± I will walk through
the school daily and post pictures, statements, videos, and updates of
school happenings on our social media sites, and in our app. I will also
promote our communication tools and find innovative ways to get
parents to hear our story, and tell it to others. (Possible platforms:
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube)
8. SCHOOL BRANDING
Our school needs to create a ¡°brand¡± that they will
communicate to the stakeholders in the school and in the
community. The questions that we want to answer are:

? What do we believe about teaching and learning?
? What does our school value?
? How can we add value to our student¡¯s lives?
? What makes us special?
? What is our mission?
We can facilitate getting these messages out through social
media avenues such as¡
