                 HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP EGILIBILITY




General Eligibility Requirements and Definitions for All Scholarship Applicants
A. For the purposes of eligibility determination, the Fort Bragg Area is defined as the
   area within 50 miles of the boundaries of Fort Bragg in any direction.
B. All Applicants must have a current United States Uniformed Services Identification
   and Privilege Card (military ID card).
C. Active duty and active duty reserve service members are not eligible for the
   scholarships.

Eligibility for the FBAOSC High School Scholarship Program
A. The Applicant must be the child of an active duty or active duty reserve service
    member (Sponsor) assigned to Fort Bragg or the child of a retired or deceased
    military officer or enlisted service member whose last duty station was Fort Bragg.
B. Applicants who are children of deceased service members must reside in the Fort
    Bragg area at the time of application.
C. The Applicant must:
        1. Be graduating from a Fort Bragg area high school in the year of application;
             or,
        2. Have received a GED in the year of the application; or,
        3. Be a senior registered in a Fort Bragg area home school program in the year of
             application.
D. If the Sponsor transfers from Fort Bragg during the year of the application and the
    Applicant remains in the Fort Bragg area, the Applicant will be eligible for the
    scholarship.
E. The Applicant must have applied to an accredited two or four year institution for
    undergraduate study and be working towards a first BA/BS degree.
F. A high school scholarship recipient may not reapply.
G. An Applicant who accepts an appointment to one of the service academies or receives
    a full scholarship from another source will not be eligible for a monetary scholarship.
