• Vision Statement: describes the community’s collective aspirations for the
Village’s future and provides a unifying direction for the Plan
• Vision Principles: Frames the development of more specific actions and policies
that will be undertaken over the next decade
• The Community Vision is meant to be referred to consistently especially when
considering new developments or when new opportunities arise
• The Community Vision is shaped by input from the Village, residents, and other
community members
