This document outlines a presentation on teaching with technology given by Sushumna Rao on May 9th, 2020. The presentation covers e-learning models, the need for online learning tools during the pandemic, and how to use Zoom for online conferencing. Be prepared, rehearse and be a professional
Keep your surroundings neat and clean
Make sure that you find a calm quiet place for yourself

While sharing your screen make sure that:
Your desktop is clean
All necessary files, software are available in a folder / organized to retrieve easily
While teaching online
Test your posture, light etc. before hand, do not slouch, use minimal hand gesture
Keep optimum distance from the device, look into the laptop screen
Always interact with participants every 5 minutes
Make sure that you give some time for Q&A

Engaging Participants
Make sure your synchronous session offers insights, or activities
Use synchronous sessions as consultation / discussion sessions
Give students a topic before hand to go through / prepare, ask them to
come with one question
Do some social connect chat on happening issues, their problems, plans
etc.
Do collaborative activities like building a topic in an interactive whiteboard
Ask them a question and give them few seconds / minutes to prepare and
present
Conduct a quick polls (Google forms or with online poll makers)
