- 3. My VisualMy Hiroshima visual indicates my feelings towards the destruction of Japan. The beginning pictures were colourful and more joyful. The pictures showed happiness, history , art, and political power. I then chose pictures that contained joyful Americans, American military, and the dreadful atomic bomb overlapping the photos of the Japanese, signaling that the Americans began to close in on the Japanese and overcoming them. The following picture showed the atomic bomb explosion. This bomb destroyed the Japanese and their cities, caused suffering, hardship, loss and death to all of the people living in the country. The following photographs show the despair, pain, loss and sickness that enveloped the country.The quote by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle efficiently questions human nature. To be able to cry because of the beauty in a song, to instantly become sympathetic because of a lyric that a connection can be made with, and yet somehow turn around and kill hundreds of thousands of human beings is too hard for me, and possibly others, to understand.The music I chose for the visual is powerful, beautiful, and could possibly bring a person to tears. The photographs were not put in time to the music, but the music was powerful enough to seemingly match itself. The movie the soundtrack was made to, Requiem for a Dream, was quite possibly the saddest movie I have ever seen. The images stuck with me for days, not only because of its powerful message, but because the music is full of tenderness, power, soul, and raw beauty that it brings out the despair in all images.
