The document describes the narrator's experience playing hockey from ages 4 through their current time in bantam hockey. They started in mites hockey at age 4, then progressed to novice, atom, peewee, and now bantam. In atom and peewee they played rep hockey and had championship success. During peewee they also traveled overseas to play hockey in Europe with a Canadian team. Currently they are in their second year of bantam rep hockey.
2. MY FIRST TIME
I first started playing hockey when I was at the young age of 4. I
started out playing mites which was a very elementary way of
hockey. There was only two teams the green team and the black
team, I was on the black team and we would always beat the
green team. At this time there were no penalties you would just
sit on the bench for a shift instead. I played mites for 3 years
then moved up to novice.
3. NOVICE
I only got to play novice for 1 year because I got moved up to
atom early. When I played novice I was still young and the rules
were still laid back and you could get away with a lot of
penalties. There was also no off sides or icings.
4. ATOM
I played atom for 3 years because I moved up. I played 1 year
of atom in house league because I was under aged but in my
2nd and 3rd years I played rep hockey. Rep hockey is a much
faster and competitive way to play. In my 2nd year it was the first
time I played for the Oceanside Generals. I also won the league
champion ship in atom 3rd year, we went 9-0-1 throughout
league play.
5. PEEWEE
Peewee was probably my best year so far, I played rep in both
my years. In my 1st year I was 1 of the 4 first years who made
the team and I had the 4 th most points. In my second year I had
2nd most point while playing defense. In my second year I also
got to go over seas and play for Canada. We played teams from
Germany, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic and even Russia. I
played in a tournament in the Czech and we won a silver medal
after our only lose against Russia.
6. BANTAM
I am in my second year of bantam and I still play rep hockey. My
first year I played in Oceanside and placed 2 nd in the league. I
am currently in my second year of bantam and I am now playing
for the Port Coquitlam Pirates. In my 2 nd year I have already got
my first major hockey injury, it was a broken collar bone at the
beginning of the year.
