It takes about 300 performers
and over 24,000 incense sticks
per night to put on a three-day
performance with a 67-metre
dragon, which consists of 32
sections and whose head alone
weighs 70 kg.

of the major categories in Chinese
opera, originating in southern China's
Guangdong Province. It is popular in

(1127¨C1279), who, according to lore, had
supreme power to suppress rebellion and

protection.

Yuk Wong Tai Tai or the Jade Emperor
is in-charge of the Heaven. He is the
king of all immortals and has the
power to order them.

Guangdong , namely Du Shan ,
Ming Shan and Jin Shan.

15. Kam Fa Festival
Each year on April 17th of the Lunar
Year when Kam Fa Festival is
celebrated, Master Kwan¡¯s son Mr.
Kwan Hon Chuen, along with Master
Luk Chong Mao (Master Luk Chi Fu¡¯s
son) and Master Cheung Kwok Wah
(Master Kwan Tak Hing¡¯s disciple)
and friends, would bring more than
10 dancing lions to Peng Chau.
16. Dragon Boat Festival
The Dragon Boat Festival is a
traditional holiday originating in
China, occurring near the summer
solstice. The festival now occurs
on the 5th day of the 5th month
of the traditional Chinese
calendar, which is the source of
the festival's alternative name,
the Double Fifth Festival.

18. Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees
Lam Tsuen, in Tai Po, was already a
residential area 700 years ago
during the Southern Song dynasty
(1127¨C1279). Today, it still bustles

its two ¡®wishing trees¡¯ and Tin Hau
Temple.

Taiji(tai chi), short for Tai ji quan, or T'ai chi ch'¨¹an, is an internal Chinese martial art
practiced for both its defense training, its health benefits and meditation. The term
