A DIFFERENT WAY TO BE KEY PERSON INDEPENDENT in a matter of a few months
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? Key person. Hard to replace, Limited capacity, Difficult to cover? Yes, then follow these simple steps
STEP #1 Select the activities that the whole team should be able to do and introduce The Joy of Standards
STEP #2 Meet daily and share the work around the team. Compare capacity with demand and allocate the priority work.
STEP #3 Answer all work when someone is absent. No backlog, no rework and no chasing = less work overall (especially as everyone is covered when anyone is away). =- -- . .. . . .. .
STEP #4 Use spare capacity to teach each other expertise, until all work can be shared.
YOU WILL THEN BE KEY PERSON INDEPENDENT in a matter of a few months
