4 Once you receive your paper from the online tutor Take the time to read the comments at the top of your paper. Remember that these are only suggestions to help you meet the assignment goals. If they contradict the instructors directions, those directions come first. Our suggestions are based on the information you supply about the assignment. Read through your paper, noting the comments made within the body of your paper and the abbreviations explained in the information bubbles.

For example, the thesis statement might be incomplete, a topic sentence may not reflect what is in the thesis statement, a point may need to be explained, or a detail may be off-topic. We use in-text comments for many reasons. It is a conversation we are having with you. Be sure to read the comments and address the issue. Comments are used to help you expand your ideas and better focus the reader, so do not think that a tutor is just being critical. In addition, if any suggestions we provide contradict your instructors directions, be sure to follow those directions.
7 I dont understand how to correct this error. I still need help! Help is available under Subject Tools! In each subject queue, Subject Tools are available to answer questions from How do I get started on my essay? to How do I avoid plagiarism? to What is parallelism? Just select FAQ (Facts and Questions) or Resources to find the answer to your question.
8 Do I have to send my history paper to the English queue and the history queue? No. Once you have submitted your paper to history, psychology, philosophy, business, etc., both the content tutor and the English tutor will review your paper from there. If there are research issues, you may get a third response from our specialized research tutor. Therefore, look for multiple replies to your one submission. 1 student submission = 2 or 3 replies
9 Why wont you tutor my paper when you think its plagiarized? Plagiarism is not only against learning institutions policies, it is also against the law. When an HCC tutor reviews a paper that shows signs of being plagiarized, that tutor is taking part of that plagiarism and is therefore breaking the law. Keep in mind that your HCC instructor or tutor wants to see what you can do, not what a reference source can do. Once an instructor or tutor sees where you need help, that instructor or tutor can help you address the problem.
