This document outlines 10 steps for writing a story: 1) Create a logline, 2) Develop a protagonist and antagonist, 3) Create a location and setting, 4) Develop the characters, 5) Include supporting characters, 6) Determine the theme, 7) Choose a rating, 8) Use a 3 act structure with a beginning, middle and end, 9) Proofread the story, and 10) Title the story. An example story provided is about a slave in the late 1700s in Connecticut who becomes immortal and fights for his freedom against the plantation owner.

Ex: Christina is Mr.Daniels daughter who will someday inherit his
plantation, The Sheriff is the town officer who was appointed the position by
the town mayor Rowah: Unwitting Instigator of Doom
7. Step 6: Theme of the Story
Ex: Acceptance: We all make bad decisions but what defines us is our
ability to accept them and move on. Loneliness: Adam is the only immortal
so no one understands him Morality: The concept of immortality means that
there’s literally no cosmic justice and death is no longer a factor so why
should he be good?
9. Step 8: 3 act structure: Beginning, Middle,
End

Season 2: 1880’s western
Season 3: 1990’s
10. Step 9: Proofread Your Story
1st draft is always the worst one, always room for improvement
