 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast
cancer in her lifetime.

 Over 256,560 persons will be diagnosed this
year and 40,610 will die from breast cancer

 Ohio ranks 34th in incidence and has the 4th
highest mortality rate from breast cancer.

  Founded in 1982 by Nancy G. Brinker
   to honor the memory of her sister,
   Susan G. Komen.

  Komen for the Cure has partnered or funded programs in
 more than 50 countries as part of our nearly $1.5 billion
 investment in breast cancer research, education and
 community programs.

  Trusted source for breast health and breast cancer
   information.

 75% of all funds raised locally goes to
support local programs for education,
screening, and support services. The
remaining 25% goes to the national
