Our story began in the 1930s when Henri INDERCHIT, doll’s armchair craftsman, responded to a request from a bistro owner who wanted to equip his terrace with human-sized director’s chairs. And so the F101 model was born.
The director’s chair model took off in the 1950s, becoming an iconic object. It was at this time that Henri’s son Louis designed the famous red terrace at the Café Sénéquier. A partnership between our two companies that still exists today.
The family business became AZUR CONFORT in 1989, with the arrival of the third generation of INDERCHIT.
Since its takeover by Raphaël VOISINE in 2016, Azur Confort has become a reference in wooden outdoor furniture. Today, we offer catering and hospitality professionals a complete range of furniture designed with eco-design in mind, manufactured in our French factory.
