3. ICT Today
The fusion of hardware equipment, precise
software, GUI, and effective
communication network is the present
composition of the ICT network.
The World Wide Web, is the product of
this fusion.
5. The World Wide Web
The World Wide Web (www) is the system that enables
you to access hypertext documents and other files over
the internet.
The Web 1.0 or the read-only Web, is where the
information or hypertext file is accessed by the user.
The Web 2.0 or the read-and-write Web, started with
the need to interact with Web pages.
Today, the Web 3.0 or the semantic executing Web is
being developed.

9. Web 1.0 or the read-only Web
Web 1.0 refers to the first stage in the World Wide Web,
which was entirely made up of Web pages connected by
hyperlinks. Although the exact definition of Web 1.0 is
a source of debate, it is generally believed to refer to the
Web when it was a set of static websites that were not
yet providing interactive content.
11. Web 2.0 or the read-and-write Web
Web 2.0 describes World Wide Web sites that emphasize
user-generated content, usability, and interoperability.
A Web 2.0 site may allow users to interact and collaborate
with each other in a social media dialogue as creators of
user-generated content in a virtual community, in contrast to
Web sites where people are limited to the passive viewing of
content.
13. Web 3.0 or the semantic executing Web
Web 3.0 is a simple term with a much more complicated
meaning. One of the biggest difficulties in nailing down
a definition or metric for evaluating Web 3.0 is the lack
of a clear, distinct definition for it, especially compared
to what we already know about Web 2.0.
15. The Social Media
Social media are computer-mediated tools that
allow people, companies and other organizations
to create, share, or exchange information, career
interests, ideas, and pictures/videos in virtual
communities and networks.
These applications started together with the Web 2.0
and are used in communication and socializing with
other application users in virtual communities and
network.
