In this talk we explore what open data is (and what it isn't), and why we should care about it. We'll look at how you can introduce it into your projects with regards to practical publication and consumption, and discuss some useful tools and reference points.
Open data isn't just dry and technical - it gives us great scope to be creative, and throughout this talk we'll go through some of the amazing things that it has been used for globally in the hope that it will inspire you to create something amazing yourself.

Effective communication involves transmitting information from a source to a receiver through various channels and feedback. The key functions of communication are control, motivation, emotional expression, and information sharing. Effective communication skills include listening skills, providing feedback, and strong presentation abilities. Presentation skills require thorough preparation, structuring content for the audience, an engaging opening and closing, use of visual aids, and handling questions confidently.
The National Employment Service (NES) of the Republic of Serbia is a public employment service established in 1921 to provide services to unemployed persons and employers. NES operates under the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development and has a presence across Serbia with over 120 local offices and 2,000 employees. Its responsibilities include employment mediation, vocational guidance, implementing active labor market policies, and collecting data on the Serbian labor market which has high unemployment, regional disparities, and a need for retraining to address obsolete skills. For a project supporting unemployed philologists, NES will provide labor market data, support curriculum reforms, monitor recruitment, and help disseminate project results.
