• Games can be used to simulate a real life situations so that
students get used to applying theoretical knowledge in
practical environments
1. Use gaming
to simulate real
life situations
• To understand application of theoretical knowledge, case
study sessions can be organized every week which will
encourage students to explore beyond what is taught.
2. Real life case
studies model
of teaching
• Instead of the usual theoretical written exams and
interview based exams, medical marathon can be
arranged to evaluate preparedness of students in real life.
The marathon can simulate real life hospital environment
in which the student has to spend a day and face more
and more challenging situations as the day progresses.
3. Medical
Marathons as a
method of
evaluation
