The Lebanese Scouting
Federation
≒ The Lebanese scouting federation was founded in
1961;
≒ Scout members obey by the motto of 束Be
Prepared損, be it in mind or in body to do your duty
≒ The emblem of the federation is the Cedar;
I enrolled in the Lebanese Scout
Association 5 years ago, in 2009, and enjoy
and participate in all the activities linked to
the movement

≒ Before becoming part of the
scout movement, I had to
pronounce the scout promise
in front of my scout brothers;
≒ The scout promise says: 束On
my honor I will do my best,
To do my duty to God and
my country and to obey the
Scout Law; To help other
people at all times; To keep
myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally
straight損

The three upraised fingers stand for the three parts of the Scout Oath. The thumb
and little finger together stand for the bond between all Scouts.

Baden-Powell Day
≒ On the 22nd of February, we celebrate the birth of Robert Baden-
Powell (known as B-P) who is the founder of the Scouting movement
≒ On this day, we organize games and competitions that go along with
the 10 scout laws.

arguing and never does half
of his work.
Activities led by the scout
The Flying Camp
≒ Every summer, we organise a
flying camp of three days during
which we walk a minimum
distance of 50 km
≒ This camp is one of the activity I
enjoy the most because it gives
me endurance, persistance and
power.
≒ The flying camp is a challenge in
life that shows us that despite the
difficulties encountered in life,
we can always reach our goals.
Colony Camping
≒ Initiation to the summer
camp designed for
unfavoured children
≒ This camp allows us to
learn how to deal with kids
of different backgrounds
and how to be a leader to
them

ESIB 24th Rally
paper
After 3 days of hardwork and
perseverance, we arrive at the
1st position of the ESIB 24th
rally paper among 50 other
teams
This event improved my
teamwork, patience and
endurance
It also contributed to the
development of my
searching,analytical and
solving skills
Sport tournament
≒ Each year, we hold a sport tournament against other
scout groups;
≒ In this tournament, we challenge each other in many
sports including: rugby, football, basketball;
≒ This tournament is a way to improve our teamwork
in order to win.

Conclusion & Qualities gained
≒ I believe that being part of the scout movement has made
me the person I am today;
≒ BE READY stands for Bravery, Enterprise, Purpose,
Resolution, Endurance, Partnership, Assurance,
Reformation, Enthusiasm and Devotion;
≒ All of the above are qualities I learnt during the last 5
years, and ones I live by;
≒ All of these characteristics are necessary to start a future
career in management and to go beyond our limits in our
professional career
