The goal of risk management is to understand risks and advise on approaches while patient safety aims to provide a safe environment and reduce failures through understanding systems.
1) Schiff base compounds were investigated as corrosion inhibitors for iron in nitric acid and sodium hydroxide solutions.
2) The Schiff bases were found to inhibit corrosion through adsorption on the iron surface via interaction of their -electrons and groups like azo methine.
3) The inhibition was more effective in nitric acid due to iron's lower potential, favoring inhibitor adsorption. Inhibition efficiency increased with inhibitor concentration and methylene group number.
