Dr. Vasant Mhaske currently works at IKS Health. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of Healthcare at Apollo clinics, where he innovated strategies to market and sell healthcare services while maintaining quality and controlling costs. He has over 30 years of clinical experience and believes that clinical practice can provide quality, affordable healthcare and ensure patient satisfaction. Dr. Mhaske has held leadership roles at hospitals in India and the Middle East, and has over three decades of experience in the healthcare industry. He holds medical degrees from Nagpur University and has spoken at many national and international conferences on health and social issues.

DR.VASANT MHASKECurrent role and responsibilities with IKS Health Prior to IKS Health, he served as Vice President, Healthcare at Apollo clinics,in Mumbai(An Apollo hosp.initiative), innovating strategies for marketing and sales, maintaining and improving best-in-class quality of healthcare services optimizing physician costs and increasing profitability He has also been a consultant with Fortis Group of Hospitals for 4 years.Both the places,which are dominant healthcare groups in India,his main domain has been to convert his extensive clinical experience (more than 30Yrs,)& excellent clinical acumen to provide quality healthcare at an affordable cost.Hi firmly believes in clinical medicine practice not only brings down the healthcare costs but also ensures patient satisfaction.He is proud to mention that he belongs to so called old medical school which always insisted that diagnosing & treating illness is like sailing a sea,which canot be sailed without charting.Current Medical gadgetry (even if tremendously helpful) is prohibitively increasing the healthcare costs universally & still the outcomes are not proportionally satisfactory.It is here clinical medicine & good clinicians can come to rescue because for sailing this vast ocean of illness it is they,the clinicians,act as sea charters,which only can help to reach definite medical destination(Read diagnosis & treatment.) in a cost effective way. Dr. Mhaske has been Director, Diagnostic Centre with Emirates Diagnostic centre( Welcare Hospitals Group in the Middle East) and served as a Consultant with them for 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Nagpur University. Throughout his illustrious career spanning 3 decades, Dr. Mhaske has been associated with several leading medical associations and has been invited to attend or address several national and international conferences,apart from time to time Health articles in leading news papers.He has been a prolific speaker on various health & social issues & also receipient of Best letter to the editor award while in Middle east.
