This document discusses managing library usage statistics and proposes best practices. It questions what statistics should be collected, how to manage the large amounts of data, and how to interpret it. Currently, statistics are managed manually in Excel which is time-consuming. The document proposes building a web-based system to automatically import, parse, and flag outlier statistics. This system would make the management of statistics less time-intensive and allow for easier reporting and interpretation of data.
