An immigrants story is not only about the history surrounding his or her time of油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油

many immigrants need to choose not only how they want to live their lives, but also what油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油

friends and family in both their home country and their new home. This is the story of Gideon油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油

American. In order to tell his story, it is important to listen to the stories from those closest to油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油

The Philippine people primarily have a positive view of the United States according to油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油
both Gideon and Betty Lapitan. Gideon described the United States as a rich country where油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油

Story油of油Immigration:油Opportunity,油Identity,油and油Finding油Hope油in油a油New油Country油 Esther油Lapitan油 油 An immigrants story is not only about the history surrounding his or her time of油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 immigration, but rather it is a story of personal identity. Throughout the immigration journey,油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 many immigrants need to choose not only how they want to live their lives, but also what油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 direction they want to lead their lives. Their journey not only affects their own lives, but their油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 friends and family in both their home country and their new home. This is the story of Gideon油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 Lapitan, but it is not only his story, but the story of his journey to realize what it means to be油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 American. In order to tell his story, it is important to listen to the stories from those closest to油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 himHis wife, Betty Lapitan, and his children. As his daughter, it was important to not only油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 listen to him with an open ear and without being biased, but also to be compassionate about what油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 he wanted to share. He often practices his English and when he first came to the United States, he often油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 came home with questions about slang words and phrases. Betty recalls Gideon returning from油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 油 work and asking what specific gestures.
