IMPAX evolves with daily routine
requirements
Diagnosis of CT and MR volumes is part of the
radiologist¡¯s daily clinical routine. IMPAX Volume
Viewing gives IMPAX the Advanced Visualization
tools radiologists and clinicians require to be more
efficient. It provides the most commonly needed
features including:
?? Multi-Planar Reformats (MPR) and Curved Planar
Reformats (CPR)
?? Slab thickness adjustment
?? 3D Volume rendering
?? Segmentation
A simple tool with powerful features
For the most common functions, IMPAX Volume
Viewing requires just a handful of controls which
are permanently accessible right next to the image.
IMPAX Volume Viewing 3D comes with a few
powerful features:
?? Automatic removal of the CT table
?? Automatic removal of bony structures in
CT Angiography studies
?? Volume measurement tools
?? Large selection of pre-defined 3D transfer
functions
?? Improved MPR handling
?? Save results to IMPAX
?? Reload results from IMPAX and instantly
restore the 3D volume with all previously
saved segmentations
Add advanced features
typically found on high-end
3D workstations
IMPAX Volume Viewing can be complemented with
advanced functionality such as automatic registration
and fusion of CT and/or MRI data, stereoscopic 3D
viewing, Vessel analysis for CTA and much more.

Projection --minIP-- or
Average Intensity Projection --AvgIP)
?? Review datasets using MPR in single or double oblique
views
?? Review datasets using Curved Planar Reformat (CPR), and
perform measurements along the curve
?? Create annotations and Regions of Interest
?? Reformat data to a new series with different slice
thickness , a new orientation, CPR view or Cross-Curved
view and save to IMPAX for further distribution and review
?? Save secondary captures for further distribution/review
within the PACS
IMPAX Volume Viewing comes with a large number of screen lay-outs, automatically arranged as hanging protocol according to
pre-defined rules. Users can customize the default settings for their screen lay-outs
per type of study.
The MIP/MPR/3D can be configured to be part of the IMPAX hanging protocol for CT and MRI studies.
IMPAX Volume Viewing will automatically notify the user when a new version has been released.
Information about the new version will be published on Agfa HealthCare¡¯s web site.
IMPAX Volume Viewing MIP/MPR Enterprise Edition
The Enterprise Edition is a licensed option to add MIP/MPR functionality to the IMPAX Enterprise license.
It contains most of the functions of the fully featured version, but the user will not be able to save reformatted series or
annotations back to IMPAX.
?? Load one volumetric series
?? Reformat data to a new series with different slice thickness and a new orientation
?? Interactively adjust slab thickness
?? Review datasets using MPR in single or double oblique views
?? Create annotations and Regions of Interest
IMPAX Volume Viewing MIP/MPR Enterprise Edition requires IMPAX 6.5.4 or higher.
