The Feldenkrais method was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais after he injured his knee in a baseball accident and wanted to find an alternative to surgery. He studied biomechanics, neuroscience, and martial arts to understand human movement. The Feldenkrais method uses gentle movements during tablework sessions to help students become aware of inefficient movement patterns and explore new possibilities. Over time, students gain more flexibility and range of motion as unnecessary tensions are released from their movement patterns.
