Algae culture techniques Isolation: o Isolation of the micro-algae under microscope. Media and culture: o Potassium nitrate 13.2 gm, Sodium orthophosphate 6.6 gm and EDTA(Na) 6.6 gm dissolve in 25 ml of dist. Water . o Sodium silicate separately dissolve in 25 ml of dist. Water. o Add this to 1 ton of fresh seawater and provide sufficient aeration. o Within 24 hrs, the growth of diatoms and micro-algae.
