This document outlines the research design for a project examining commons in Lüneburg, Germany in 2030. The research will proceed in two phases: first, a literature review, situational analysis, and stakeholder analysis will be conducted. Second, scenario analysis will be used to analyze potentials and hurdles for commons-based food production in Lüneburg. The research process will involve transect walks to identify available public spaces and resources, defining commons, and creating concept maps to address the research question of what conditions enable commons-based food production. References are provided on topics including urban commons, scenario analysis methods, knowledge as a global commons, and stakeholder analysis techniques.
