 Det er n淡dvendig for tannlegen 奪 studere modellene i sambitt i
forbindelse med behandlingsplanleggingen.
 Til dette form奪let kan ogs奪 en artikulator (et apparat som
modellene kan stilles inn i) brukes. (Se Yrkesut淡velse, kapittel 3,
labarbeid)
For 奪 kunne slipe studiemodeller p奪 gipsmodeller
m奪 man kunne plassere modellene i samme
relasjon til hverandre som kjevene har i
virkeligheten i pasientens munnhule.
Vi m奪 derfor ta indeksavtrykk av tennene i tillegg
til alginatavtrykk av de enkeltst奪ende
kjevehalvdelene.
Det er viktig at registreringen gj淡res i korrekt posisjon, og at
indekset er stabilt og tydelig.
Man snakker om to typer registreringsposisjoner for indeks:
RP-indeks:
En passiv registreringsposisjon, der tennene har occlusal kontakt
s奪 langt bak som mulig. Som regel er det tannlegen som tar
avtrykk i RP-indeks.
IP-indeks:
Pasienten biter sammen i det vanemessige
sammenbittsforholdet.

 varmt vannbad
 ev. spritflamme
 vokskniv
 rett kronesaks

Kvalitetskontroll
 Tennenes occlusalflate skal v脱re med.
 Indeksen f奪r ikke st淡te mot mykvevet.
 Voksavtrykket skal trimmes slik at ingen buccalflater er inkludert.
 Sjekk om tennene har penetrert voksen, og at alle occlusalflater er
med.
 Avtrykket skylles under rennende kaldt vann.
 Voksindekset m奪 ikke bli utsatt for varme, da fasongen kan endres.
 Ved 淡nske om stabiliseringsskinne skal lukkebevegelsen stoppes f淡r
gjennomslag av voksen.
 Ved faste protetiske konstruksjoner skal voksen ha gjennomslag av
tennene.
 Avtrykket skal v脱re desinfisert f淡r avsendelse til laboratoriet.
 Pass p奪 at voksindekset pakkes og sendes sk奪nsomt. Det anbefales at
det legges i ei plateeske for 奪 forhindre deformasjon.
