India is the 7th largest country by area and 2nd most populous country with over 1.2 billion people. The main religions practiced are Hinduism (80%), Islam (13%), Christianity (2.5%), and Sikhism (1.9%). Hindi is the official language, while English is secondary. India has a rich cultural heritage evident in its art, festivals, historic places, and inventions like zero, chess, and Ayurveda. Some iconic sites include the Taj Mahal and Tirumala Tirupati Temple. India also has a large Hindi film industry producing over 900 movies annually.

The Taj Mahal
TAJ MAHAL Taj Mahal was build by shah jahan in memory of his third wife , mumtaz mahal. Built with transluent white marbel and other precious stones. In all, twenty eight types of precious and semi-precious stones were inlaid into the white marble.
It took 22 years to complete the construction of such a beautiful monument. The total cost has been estimated to be about 459,489 euros at that time . It is believed that after completion of the monument the hands of all those involved in building the magnicificant monument. were cut off so that they do not make the same design , yet there are no documents to proof this however.
