Introduction
The Indian Value System seeks to instill values such as
integrity, generosity, righteous and elderly respect in
our children as a step to make them good adults. Here
are few principle which must be practiced in our lives.
We must foster these values and encourage our
children to practice these.
I have compiled few moral values to be practiced in our
daily life each beginning with Hindi phrase in following
slides¡.

Shudhi (Cleanliness)
It is said cleanliness is next to Godliness. Always be clean. One should also
keep home, class and environment clean.
Aadar (Respect)
Respect old and the elderly. Evaluate your elder but always respect them.
Vinarmta (Humbleness)
Be modest. Never be proud of yourself and your money.
Uudarta (Generosity)
One must share food and give alms to needy.
Shama (Forgiveness)
Accept your mistakes. Learn to forgive yourselves and others.

Dosh (Blame)
Think before you blame.
Dukh (Sadness)
One should not be sad for any loss. It is believed that whatever happens, it is
for our own good.
Bhinta (Differences)
We all are made differently. Respect and learn to live with these differences.
Parisharm (Hard Work) and Sankalp (Determination)
Hard work and determination are key to success.
Su Mitra (Good Friend)
To find a good friend one should be a good friend.

Sangat or Saat (Company)
Bad people influence you negatively. They would destroy you and themselves. It us said
that a man is known by the company he keeps.
Krodh (Anger)
It is one¡¯s greatest enemy. An anger person makes many mistakes. So must one control
and keep away from it.

Lobh (Greed)
Do not be greedy. It destroys your virtues.
Aatm Vishvas (Self Trust)
Always believe in yourself. Self confidence is important to stand and succeed in any
social system.
Karma (Action)
One must act righteously. Integrity and sincerity are key to act righteously.
