This document discusses the difference between good and bad bacteria. Good bacteria, or probiotics, include Lactobacillus, Streptococcus, and Bifidobacterium. They are found in food, plants, skin, and the digestive system. Good bacteria help with flavor, vitamin production, digestion, immune function, and oxygen production. Bad bacteria, or pathogens, include Clostridium, Staphylococcus, and Escherichia coli. They are also found in food, plants, skin, and the digestive system. However, bad bacteria cause food spoilage, illness, tissue damage through toxins, lateral infection, diseases in humans, plants and animals, and poor digestion.
