Ingrid Visser from the Orca Research Trust visited Room 6 and brought a camera man to film them helping to rescue a stranded orca named Fishy. With the help of wetsuits and orca stranding equipment like a large mat, the class worked together to carefully roll Fishy onto the mat and return him to the water. Back in their classroom, Ingrid taught the students more about orcas and had them name a new orca Pickle, who is missing part of her dorsal fin due to being bitten by another orca. The students agreed it was their best day ever working with Ingrid to help orcas.
