To safeguard historical data, I started off with digitisation of those documents. This not only helped us save cost but also to initiate a step towards CSR. Once Digitisation is done, next question would be what to do with the documents? Recycle Them ! Use recycled paper to manufacture office supplies like recycled paper, files and folders.
Having Achieved that successfully, I quantified the amount of paper that was being simply thrown away every month.
Answer? ~ 40000 A4 Sheets. How to motivate people to distinguish paper from other trash?
Answer - Plant a tree for every 100 Kg of paper collected for recycling.
