The CFAR-SSA is an inter-CFAR working group founded in 2011 to promote collaborative HIV/AIDS research opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa and support early career investigators from the region. It coordinates activities like international meetings and workshops. Resources include a listserv of around 600 members, a website with presentations and an inventory map. The document outlines activities of past meetings and resources provided. It solicits ideas for other activities and resources. The second half provides the agenda for a "Specific Aims Lightning Round" session including introductions, proposal presentations and feedback.
