The document summarizes an eyelash extension training program offered by the International Academy of Eyelash Arts & Sciences. The program aims to train and certify beauty school instructors to teach eyelash extension techniques. Instructors will learn both practical and theoretical material through hands-on training and lectures covering topics like lash extension procedures, sanitization, adhesive chemistry, and regulation. The 5-7 day program is held in Houston at the Academy's headquarters and lash lab facility, and includes field trips to local lash-only salons to observe daily operations. Graduates will become Certified Master Instructors eligible to implement eyelash extension programs at their own schools.
2. E yelash care and enhancement is a fast growing
segment of the beauty industry. In fact, in 2009,
Womens Wear Daily reported that lash extensions were
the only segment of the beauty industry that showed
growth that year. Even in the midst of a deep recession,
eyelashes have become a billion dollar industry.
Currently, lash extensions offer beauty professionals
the highest margin of profit of any service in the
industry. Large margins are made possible by the fact
that eyelash extension services average around $250
per full set, and the cost of the supplies is only a few
dollars for the professional.
Almost all 50 states require a license to do lash
extensions, however none of the states train
or test graduating professionals on how to
perform the procedure safely or effectively.
The application procedure is delicate, highly detailed
and requires significant skill and experience. It can not
be learned in one or two days, just as it is not possible to
teach a student to cut hair in one or two days.
3. WHY
WHY
YOUR SCHOOL
NEEDS
LASH EXTENSION
TRAINING
Why should your school consider offering
eyelash extension education?
1. Your students are requesting it. NovaLash
receives calls daily from cosmetology and esthetics
students asking where they can go for training in
their area.
2. The schools are missing out on millions of
dollars in revenue that currently goes to
Manufacturers, who are not necessarily equipped to
offer the proper education to students.
3. State Boards are requiring a license to do lash
extensions, but the students and
professionals are not being taught or tested on it.
4. Learning to do lash extensions requires
supervised practice.
5. Beauty schools are better equipped than
manufacturers to train and educate
extensionists.
6. Business Development Consulting Services
For Beauty Schools are available.

10. WHEN
CAN I
ATTEND?
O nce your application has been received and
approved, you will be contacted by our
Educational Coordinator, Heather Hughes. To
contact Heather, please phone 713-520-5848
or email her at heather@novalash.com.
Classes are offered on an ongoing basis during the
week and on weekends as well. We like to keep
the student to teacher ratio low, so it is wise to plan
at least 2-3 months in advance when scheduling
your visit. From time to time, we can accommodate
last-minute students, however, the on-campus living
quarters at the Lash Lab fill up quickly, so it is wise
to book in advance.
WHEN
Enrollees are invited to stay at the Academy for 5-7
days of training. Tuition costs are the same for both
5 and 7 days. We allow two extra days of supervised
practice at no extra charge if the student desires to
spend a little more time practicing and observing.
12. P art of receiving
a good education is
being immersed in the actual
environment in which your future
students will be working. As part of our program,
the Academy takes its attendees out of the class-
room and into the field to see a real, live, lash-only
salon in operation.
Lash salons are beginning to pop up all around the
country and in the rest of the world, just as nail-only
salons became popular in the 80s.
Enrollees will be given the opportunity to spend a
day observing the day-to-day operations of one of
the most prolific and proficient lash salons in the
world. The Lash Company is a 1,500 sq. ft. lash-only
salon owned by Master Trainer, Sophia Navarro
and NovaLash President, Sophy Merszei. The
operation began as NovaLashs test kitchen for new
products and techniques, but grew in time to build a
clientele of over 3,000 regular customers and more
than 15,000 lash extension applications to date.
The 鍖agship location is in Houston, with 3 additional
CoMPANY
locations in Japan and more to come in the U.S. soon.
14. A s the first company to set up a global distribution
network for eyelash extension products and
training, NovaLash has an enormous responsibility
to the industry, to beauty professionals, and to the
public to set the standards for safety, efficacy and
proper education for the future. Lash extensions
are a new service that is quickly becoming its own
separate segment of the beauty industry, separate
from the traditional hair, skin and nail services.
Lashes are now an industry of their own.
At NovaLash, our mission is to ensure that the
industry grows, thrives, and empowers women in the
beauty industry to gain economic freedom through
performing a highly profitable service in a safe and
effective manner. When you invest in purchasing
NovaLashs products or training, your investment
goes towards helping to build a stronger industry
with safer products and better regulation. In addition
to re-investing our profits back into further R&D,
safety, and education, NovaLash also donates funds
to various non-profit organizations such as ReSurge
速
International and Girls, Inc, an organization that helps
women and children and empowers young girls. An
investment in our products is one you can feel good
about.
Since launching the global lash extension
phenomenon in 2004, NovaLash is proud to have
re-invested almost $10 million of its own profits
back into the industry it created. As the first global
pioneer, we take our commitment to safety and
proper education very seriously. Our mission is to
see to it that the lash extension industry thrives,
consumers are safe and thrilled with results and
professionals can attain economic freedom by
building a profitable business.
