Guidelines for Scientific Sessions:
The 5th International Ayurveda Research Day conference is the 63rd International event presented in association
with our counterparts from across the globe. It will showcase the recent advances in research made in the field
of Ayurveda. The event will comprise Oral and Poster Presentations.
The best submissions for oral and posters will be selected through a blinded peer review process. For Oral and
Poster Presentations, the abstracts must be submitted through the online submission module at
5icard@gmail.com .The decisions of the Scientific Committee are final on all matters pertaining to the
presentation and publication.
Who can participate?
Ayurveda Students, PGs, Researchers, Ayurveda product manufactures, Pharmacists

General Recommendations for Abstract submission
 The title of the abstract should clearly indicate the subject of the research, the method and purpose of the
study. If selected, it will also be the title of the presentation.
 Research is a process of asking a question and finding an answer by using a methodology to obtain findings.
This process should be highlighted in the abstract.
 The target group of the conference must be kept in mind; these include students, researchers, practitioners,
planners, and consumer groups.
 Scientific abstracts should not be considered as a means to advertise products.
 It is the responsibility of the authors that the papers are written in correct British English. The editors will
not do any text editing or reformatting.
 All diagrams, pictures, tables and equations used in posters should be visible and readable. As conference
proceedings will be available in digital form too, colors may be used in figures. Color scheme should be
gray scale convertible for black and white printouts.
 All submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Authors will be notified of
abstract acceptance by e-mail, no later than 30 November 2015. Delegates have to mention Paper for
journal for inclusion in Deerghayu International.
Format for Oral Presentations
 Please hand in your presentation to the conference secretariat at the beginning of the conference. Use
PowerPoint (ppt/pptx) or pdf file format and a USB memory device. It may be a good idea to have a back-
up copy with you or to email the file to the organizers (5icard@gmail.com ) before you travel to the
conference, just in case.
 Ad hoc use of own computers in the presentations will not be accepted.
 If you are using special fonts, please do not forget to save them together with your presentation (save as 
options  embedding TrueType). Please submit your fonts (devanagiri) at the beginning of the conference.
 All oral presentations will get 5 minutes followed by 2 minutes.
 Presentation should be structured under the headings  Purpose, Methods, Results and Conclusion. This is
applicable to all, whether it is basic or clinical research including literary research works.
 際際滷s should be concise (maximum 12)
 Presentations supported through well-chosen visual material and clear captions are effective.
 Conference language is English. Pronounce clearly and speak appropriately slow.
Publication of Papers in Deerghayu International
The papers submitted through the online submission module at
5icard@gmail.com till 30 November 2015 will be selected
through a blinded peer review process. All selected complete
papers of authors who have registered will be published in the
Peer Reviewed Journal- Deerghayu International January 126th
edition 2016.
Format for Poster Presentations
 During the Conference, space will be available for
poster exhibition. Posters are graphic presentations of a
scientific paper the guidelines for oral abstracts are also
applicable to the poster abstracts.
 The mounting space available for your poster is 2 feet x
4 feet (that is width x height; portrait format). Mounting the
poster will be easier and the result may look nicer if you
prepare your poster on a single sheet.
 You should mount your poster during 25th January,
Sunday morning at 8.30 am. There will be a person available in
the Sumant Moolgaokar Auditorium to guide you display your poster. You should remove all your poster
belongings by 6pm, Sunday.
 Please, avoid including large amounts of text in the poster. You can prepare handouts for interested people
instead and bring a number of copies with you.
 Please submit a JPEG copy of the poster to the organizers at the beginning of the conference. The delegates
and guests will visit the posters gallery at the Gallery inauguration and between the breaks. Please
accompany the poster to explain the idea to the visitor, It will also help to finalise the winners of the Poster
presentations competition.

distributed only at the end of the conference.
