Scanwell Logistics helped a company supplying kitchen retailers by coordinating deliveries of products from multiple international suppliers to arrive simultaneously for a Black Friday promotion. They also advised a client on challenges of locating a new factory in western China and analyzed freight costs for potential US factory locations. Additionally, Scanwell expanded air freight options for shipping various cargo types from multiple US origins to Asia for an aerospace supplier in Dallas.

Drop Ship Services: Partnering with a company who supplies major kitchen retailers with holiday bundles / packages for Black Friday Multiple products from different suppliers / origins: Supplier A in Ningbo supplies the mixing bowls, etc. Supplier B in Shanghai supplies the machine mixers/ blenders Supplier C in Kaohsiung supplies the (hand) mixers Supplier D in Vietnam supplies the aprons Challenge: Must arrange all containers / shipments to arrive at the same time Breakdown each container and Build / package the individual product to include one item from each supplier Deliver to the retail locations throughout the country in time for Black Friday deals. Solution: Scanwell has our overseas offices work with the suppliers to arrange timing of production & shipments Scanwell in the US arranges the breakdown of the containers, the building of the product, and then arranges White Glove delivery to the various retail locations throughout the country
Factory / DC Location: Partnering with a company to advise on a new factory location Example 1 (looking for a factory in China): A current customer was looking for a factory in western China to take advantage of Chinas Go West incentives Once Scanwell was brought in to the decision process, and because of our Scanwell Network, we were able to advise the challenges of the idea. Challenges brought to their attention: Infrastructure Lack of options to move the cargo from ports of entry at Shanghai & Beijing +18 hours by truck to factory Only passenger flights are allowed at the local airport by the factory (largest shipment size allowed 150 kgs) Example 2 (looking at factory / DC locations in the US): Whenever possible we will analyze the freight costs to a potential location to provide the customer with further data for their decision process.
Air Freight Services: Partnering with a large supplier to the aerospace industry Multiple commodities / products From Dry Cargo , to Perishable & Dry Ice Cargo, to Hazardous Cargo Multiple origins and destinations (all export): Origins: NYC (JFK), Chicago (ORD), Dallas - Fort Worth (DFW), & Los Angeles (LAX) Destinations: Shanghai (PVG), Beijing (PEK), & Taipei (TPE) Multiple services offered because each and every shipment has its own requirements (no 2 shipments are the same) Express, Direct and Deferred Air Freight Services Challenge: Customer had limited options for air freight out of the Dallas area. Solution: Scanwell partnered up with our Agent, that was already handling our imports into Dallas, to handle export air freight shipments on our customers behalf. We currently are offering 50% more air freight options than what they previously had
