The Tupange SMS Commodity Tracking System allows users to report monthly stock levels and orders for family planning products via SMS. The system has a web interface and mobile reporting section. Users enter product codes and stock figures in a standardized format. Reports are received and organized in real-time. The backend allows administrators to view user data, activity logs, and generate reports for monitoring and evaluation. The system provides real-time tracking of family planning commodities at facilities to identify gaps and plan distribution.

ABOUT THE SYSTEM ? It¡¯s a logistics management information system that has a web end section and a mobile end section (user interaction) ? Users (facility in charges) report on a monthly frequency and reports are captured in real time and acknowledgements sent back.
HOW TO GET GOING ? The details of the persons reporting are entered into the system by the administrator after successful training. ? They use their personal phones for this for familiarity and ownership purposes.
REPORTING : PRODUCT CODES 1. Male Condom 2. Female Condom 3. (COC) Levonorgestrel /Ethinylestradiol tab (0.15 mg/0.03 mg) 4. Injection Depot Medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA 150 mg) 5. (POP) Levonorgestrel tab 30 mcg 6. IUD Copper T 7. ( 2 Rod Implants) Levonorgestrel implant 75 mg 8. ( 1 Rod Implants) Etonorgestrel Implant 68mg 9. (EC) Levonorgestrel tab 750 mcg, Pair 10. Cycle beads
SEQUENCE / JOB AID CARD ? Add the numerical Product Code you are reporting e.g. 1 ( for male condom) CODE ? Insert the symbol # ? Insert the letter B (Opening Balance) and then the numerical value B ? Insert the symbol # ? Insert the letter C (Closing Balance) and then the numerical value C ? Insert the symbol # ? Insert the letter Q (Quantity Ordered) and then the numerical value Q ? Insert the symbol # ? Insert the letter R (Quantity Received ) and then the numerical value R ? Insert the symbol # ? Insert the letter AP (Adjusted Positively ¨C e.g. Received donations or borrowed stocks) and then the numerical value ? Insert the symbol # AN
THE SYSTEM ? The web interface link for access is ? http://tupange.intrepid.co.ke:8091 ? There is logical security and passwords are required for access ? Reports cannot be altered once received and for mistakes, a new sms must be sent.
SYSTEM : REPORTS PORTAL ? Sms reports are received and from a glance a consolidated summary of them by the system
SYSTEM ¨C REPORTS INBOX ? The reports are filtered per region and organized by the system intelligently.
SYSTEM ¨C DATA CAPTURE ? It captures all the data, even the reports with mistakes are filtered to unformatted messages section ? Commodity security team views and corrects them on the mistakes, then they resend the reports.
BACKEND FEATURES ? This is the administrators portal where various functionality and reports can be generated. ? It has various sections for managing the users and viewing the automated functions of the system
BACKEND FEATURES ? The records for the registered users are also available from here.
BACKEND FEATURES ? There is an activity log record that when can know who logged in and did what.
MONITORING & EVALUATION ? The reports can be further manipulated and trends/graphs, M&E done for planning purposes.
