This document provides an introduction to a university course on computer science. The course aims to help students gain basic literacy with computers and be able to perform common operations. It covers topics like hardware basics, software, databases, networking, the internet, and computer security. Students will complete classwork, an exam, and laboratory assignments working with software like Word, Excel, and Access.
