Job Description: INVENTORY CONTROLLER AND SAP CATALOGUER
Department: Purchasing and Contracts Department
Location: Warehouse
Reporting to: Purchasing and Contracts Manager
Position(s) in charge of: None
Responsibilities:
 Centralize, supervise and coordinate the inventory and stock management, according to
the Company’s norms and procedures.
 To generate all of the materials requisition necessary to fulfil the MRP requirement, while
maintaining a critical and evaluative view to optimize the process. In addition, track these
purchases of stock in order to avoid delivery delays that may affect the operation.
 To receive and inspect all of the stock material received at any warehouse, and ensure
the proper system (SAP) update by generating the Goods Receipt.
 To assign a physical location for each item and keep SAP updated.
 To ensure each stock item is identified (using tags, labels, stickers, barcoding, etc.) with
the proper SAP code, descriptions and basic information, in order to make searching,
finding and recognize the stored item easier.
 To ensure requested stock materials are dispatched to the field, and ensure the proper
system (SAP) update by generating the Goods Issues, ensuring adequate accounting
charges and supports.
 To keep updated the physical files for every stock material movement in order to fulfil
any audit requirement.
 To optimize the theoretical stock levels (maximum and minimum) by regular and
dynamic revision of the defined levels versus rotation, user requirements, vendor
delivery times etc., in order to avoid stock-outs.

 To ensure the adequate storage conditions for each one of the materials or equipment in
stock.
 To measure and monitor the warehouse KPIs related with stock management.
 To coordinate and organize the proper and timely execution of all physical inventories
and audits required each year, including cyclical count, third party verifications, pre-
inventory counts, and annual full inventory.
 To coordinate periodical revisions with users for obsolete, low rotation, or surplus items.
 If necessary, to create disinvestment proposals and request approval to complete the
necessary write-offs of the involved items.
 To run and update on a daily basis the SAP-MRP module, in order to fulfil all of the
operation and maintenance requirements.
 To be vigilant of the stock value, ensuring that the total amount in stock does not exceed
the granted value.
 To receive and evaluate the necessity for inclusion of new items into stock.
 To ensure that the inventory is stored in a clean, safe and efficient condition.
 To refine stock levels in spares and consumables in accordance with the Materials
Management Plan in order to identify surplus, obsolete, unfit for use and/or non-
certificated items for minimization and optimization of the inventory levels.
 To track and expedite all repair items and urgent equipment and spares, providing
regular status information to the relevant team representatives.
 To participate in planning meetings with the Warehouse Officer and Galeota Base
Coordinator, contributing information on inventory, materials and support logistics
services.
 To perform inventory variance research and reconciliation as required.
 To prepare inventory reports and investigate and correct discrepancies in stock counts.
 To process and document stock adjustments and returns as required following
established procedures.
 To audit work practices and conformance to Management Systems by the Receiving and
Issue Clerks.
 To perform weekly inventory audits against Receiving and Issue Clerk transactions.
 To contribute to the Company's continuous improvement in Safety & Environment (S&E)
performance by ensuring safety and environmental standards are maintained within the
workplace.

Requirements:
 Minimum 8 years’ experience in inventory management and warehouse operations
including supervisory experience.
 At least an Advanced Technical Degree.
 Wide knowledge of Oil Industry materials and proficient in cataloguing these type of
materials.
 Knowledge and proficiency of MS Applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
 Must be fully conversant with the Material Module of SAP for inventory control systems
(MM & MRP), fully understanding all aspects of the system and being capable of training
and coaching users in the use of the system.
 Independent with strong leadership qualities, ability to motivate others and build a team
environment, good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build effective
relationships.
 Availability to work in a warehouse environment (indoor and outdoor); requires moderate
walking, standing, and/or climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending and
reaching.
 General knowledge of Oil Industry operations on-shore and off-shore, and Cargo
Handling experience.
 Availability for work before or after the regular hours of operation (work late nights, early
mornings, weekends, and holidays) depending on operational requirements.
 Trained to perform safety basics (JSAs, ESOPRY).
 Trained in manual handling techniques.
 Must hold training in shipping dangerous goods and hazardous materials via sea and air.
