This document outlines a project to implement an inventory management system for an injection molding department's inventory cupboard. The project was initiated to better organize and control inventory. Over three weeks, a team of industrial engineering trainees and maintenance staff listed all inventory items, took pictures, labeled items, and arranged them according to size and usage frequency. They created a visual system with a shadow board and chart showing pictures of each item and space to mark them as "out" when in use. This new system allows staff to more easily find and track tools, reducing time spent searching the cupboard.
