This document summarizes a presentation on intellectual property resources to support an IP practice. The presentation covered patent research databases, patent litigation databases, patent monitoring resources, patent and trademark office websites, secondary sources, free web resources, current awareness resources, blogs, and IP associations. Attendees would learn to use the identified resources to effectively respond to IP attorneys' needs, evaluate the resources' strengths and weaknesses for IP research, and take away a checklist of resources to guide IP searches. The presenters were from Fish & Richardson, Reed Smith LLP, and Squire Sanders and provided their contact information for follow up questions.
