This document outlines the procedures for checking out and using iPads from the clinic. It states that staff must complete iPad training, pass the quiz with 100%, and receive a certification card in order to check out one of the 14 iPads available. The iPads must be accompanied at all times, not taken off clinic grounds, and returned without any altered settings or downloaded apps.

Steps
Fill out the checkout log in the iPad binder with the
corresponding iPad you wish to check out
Give the front desk worker your iPad certification card
in exchange for the iPad you filled out the log for
An iPad can be checked out for as long as you need;
however, please be courteous.
Return the iPad to the front desk worker. The front
desk worker must initial the iPad log before your card
is returned back to you.

Fill out an app request form (in the iPad
binder or on Bb).
Complete ALL aspects of the form including a
description and rationale. If this is not
complete, the form will be returned to you.
Place the form in the appropriate GAs box at
the front desk.
Apps could take weeks or months to be
approved

Go to Settings
Select Wi-Fi on the left hand side
Choose UCM-Secured
Enter your UCM internet log in information.
Select Accept
Log out when youre done by selecting

We currently have 14iPads in our clinic. 4 of the iPad were purchased with funds from Rite Care for literacy use. The other iPads were purchased with student tech fees.A list of all the apps and what apps are on which iPads is located at the clinics front desk. This binder also contains the sheets for checking out iPads and app request forms.
Acccompany the clinic iPad at all times. You are financially responsible for any lost or stolen iPad.Do not leave the clinic with an iPad. Clinic iPads are to remain in the clinic at all times and are to be checked back into the front desk at the end of each business day.iPads are for clinic use only. iPads are not to be used for coursework other than Clinical Practicum.Do not alter the iPad or download any apps. The iPads have settings specifically created for use in our clinic.. Any person who alters any functions of a clinic iPad will be stripped of the right to use clinic iPads.Do not remove the iPad from its case. The iPad cases are used to protect the iPad from damage. You are responsible for any damage to the iPad.
6. If you record audio or video, or take pictures, delete the media before you return the iPad. iPads are useful tools to record things such as speech samples. However, if a recording, picture, or video of a client is left on the iPad, it is a violation of HIPPA.7. Keep our passwords and information protected. The sharing of clinic iPad passwords or other protected information is prohibited.
