This document provides an overview of the IT tools available to new students at Mid Sweden University. A central point in your studies, where everything you need should
be available
Logging in here offers ONE way in to many databases and functions
A portal is personal, who you are decides what you see and may
do.
Yesterday you got your user identity (login information) from
Amanda.
You activated your identity so you can use all the functions.

To log in to the computers at Miun!
If you cannot log in yet
Two computers outside reception in Miuns main entry
Computers in the library floor 4, ask at the desk.
NB, Check the portal information is correct, add
your cell phone number (if you forget your log in
you can get a new one via sms)

Dont save anything on the desktop!

Alternative save it in Google drive (portal e-

Printing, (55 旦re per page), your account starts off
with 100Kr and you can then refill it at
receptionen or in the library on floor 4.

8. Security cards
To get into the computer roooms you need a
security card (key card). You can then use the
computer rooms 24 hours-a-day.
Pick up your card in receptionen in the main entry,
approximately 2 days after registering.

Meet up on the web using your own computer!
You usually get an invite via a link to click on. (On the
learning platform, or in an e-mail)

Use the network eduroam
Log in with your student e-post address and your
Mid Sweden University password.
Connect to eduroam for the first time easily
with an Apple Mac,
If you have a PC then you can get help at the desk
on the 4th floor of the library.

cafe in the O-building.

a try!
